Communication and management of event
Bodwin
et al, (2012) describe event communication as delivering of information’s to
the public and provision information to event staff and the efficient
operational system of the event. Burke, (2010) believes that distribution of
information among two or additional persons to have a same or common sense is a
vital aspect in an event. The good communication deployed by event staffs at
teachers farewell party, increased their productivity in executing tasks.
Effective
event communication should include conduction of on-sit meetings to resolve
issues arising and emergency (Burke, 2010). The event coordinator conducted on
sit meeting with the subordinates to address issues raised during event, which
effected the smooth operation of the event. The communication of the event to
public was advanced communicated; information of the date, venue and menus was
communicated well in advance which also affected a great number of attendees at
the event.
